THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH

GOD’S PERFECT PATTERN AND PLAN FOR HIS PEOPLE TO BE EQUIPPED FOR ETERNITY WITH HIM

The Body of Christ is:
· a group of people, regardless of nationality, cultures or colour,
· blood washed saints of the Lamb
· new creatures in Christ, living according to his will and purpose revealed in the Body of Christ.
· a priesthood of believers, effectually ministering to one another according to the gifts God has given to each member.
· living stones in the building of God, neatly and closely compacted together, bound by that which every member shares or contributes, all to the honour and glory of God.

There is no place for any dominant personality of one person or persons, thus no ‘clergy nor laity ‘exists, only ministries that are given and raised up by the head of the church, Jesus Christ.

The Godhead/trinity (Father, Son & Holy Spirit) must be submitted to, as per instruction from and revelation of the Word alone. No man made opinions, programs, entertainment, systems, etc.can give a revelation of Christ.

The revelation of Jesus and him alone is absolutely sufficient for the complete operation of the Body of Christ, until Jesus returns to fetch his church.

The Body of Christ is a place:
· of safety, a refuge, where one is fed and nurtured to grow
· where one is taught, exhorted, corrected, rebuked, encouraged etc.
· of accountability.
· to minister (share) and be ministered to.
· where one’s ministry grows and develops.
· where the will of God is revealed.
· where true love is experienced and shown

See how a missing brush stroke removes the deity of Christ

See for yourself:

With just a little brush stroke, the deity of Christ is removed from modern bibles. Not all references to Christ's deity have to be removed from scripture. Simply removing it from a few crucial places is enough to create doubt.

West African Mission

On approach to the Lagos Airport, having dropped from 39000 ft, the sprawling city of Lagos, home to 18 million people, the most densely populated city in Africa, presents a mass of grey walled houses with rusty iron roofs and endless streams of traffic, jostling through narrow streets in all directions.

Stepping out of the plane you are greeted by the hot and humid tropical air, you then walk the gauntlet from one officious Immigration Officer to another, who do nothing to alleviate your feeling of being a helpless alien. Dodging the pick-pockets and scamsters who are only too willing to grab your bags and then hand them back outside the Airport for a handsome ransom, I eventually arrived on Nigerian soil and was relieved to see the familiar faces of my colleague,

Anton Bosch from USA and our old Nigerian friend, Sam, who’s full prestigious title is Reverend Professor Doctor Sam Chukwu.
The drive from the airport is an education in itself as we hurtled along the double carriage motorway on the ‘wrong-hand’ side of the road with the rear wheel bearings of the car screaming for grease, only to come to a screeching halt to negotiate a massive hole in the tarmac.

Once we turned off the main route into the residential area, tar roads were rarely seen, the car then bounced, dodged and swerved up one rough pot-holed road and down another, until I doubt whether even a GPS would have found us! An interesting feature of the Nigerian traffic behaviour is that there are no stop streets, no traffic lights and no traffic officers anywhere to be seen. The process of entering a road at an intersection is quite simple, as long as you are not ramming into the side of another vehicle you just drive with your hand on your hooter, or just ‘honk’ as the Americans would say.

To overcome the enormous traffic congestion on all the roads in Lagos, thousands of Nigerians ride 125cc motor cycles, which pass on the left and right sides and zig-zag between the cars. Some of these motor cycles double as taxis, their passengers hanging onto their Kamikaze pilots for dear life; helmets are only optional accessories. I saw a number of these two-wheeled taxis with rider and two passengers, that is three people on a 125cc bike, which I suppose makes economic sense, safety and mechanical strain being a low priority!

The streets are lined on both sides with mostly unpainted buildings, the cracked and black mouldy cement finish, dating many of the buildings back to the Colonial era with very little sign of maintenance, probably due to the lack of funds. This is sad, considering that Nigeria supplies 40% of the USA’s oil, which brings billions of dollars into the Nigerian coffers, but there is no sign of this finding its way into infrastructure or job creation. The Nigerians themselves are innovative people, with an ability to adapt and survive, the tropical climate and their hostile environment. Most of them are entrepreneurs, with a business on their street outside their houses, where they sell anything and everything, from home-made to a vast array of Chinese imports.

I can’t speak for all of Nigeria, having only visited Lagos, but an inescapable and heart-warming aspect of Lagos is the very Christian flavour and atmosphere in their culture. While waiting at the airport a policeman approached our Bishop Guide and asked to be prayed for, which he duly did. Most of the music on the radio and TV and played in the streets is Gospel music and “God bless you” is commonly heard and many Christian signs are displayed on cars and buildings.
Ghana seems a lot more orderly than Nigeria, with the Capital, Accra, home to 3.5 million Ghanaians, situated on the Atlantic Coast. A number of high-rise buildings under construction as well as the reconstruction of the main road to the central city of Kumasi, by Chinese Engineers, all speak of progress. The Cocoa export money apparently filtering through to infrastructure and the discovery of oil after 30 years of searching, will hopefully boost the economy and speed up the development of this beautiful country with its navigable rivers and tropical jungles.

Our mission in West Africa was to meet with church Leaders and equip them with a sound Biblical understanding of the essentials, the immense importance of a right relationship with Jesus the Head of the church and offer them fellowship and moral support. This we were able to do by God’s grace in Conferences in Lagos, Kumasi and Accra, as well as having had preaching opportunities in churches in Ghana and Nigeria.

The immense challenge of our mission only became apparent once we gained some insight into the darkness that lurks not far beneath the ‘Christian’ veneer that is so pervasive through the West African society. Our Ghanain and Nigerian brethren told us that most of the preaching done in West Africa is what they called ‘motivational speaking’ rather than teaching sound doctrine. This has left the church wide open to every wind of doctrine, mysticism and Telly-preacher - ‘blab it and grab it’ prosperity error! Our Ghanain Host, Paa, who is a university lecturer, but who has a sound grasp of Biblical truth and a wonderful relationship with the Lord, told us that 95% of Ghanain churches embrace the American brand of prosperity teaching, most of which comes through TBN TV.

It is understandable that countries in Africa, where the majority of the population is poor, would readily and eagerly embrace the prosperity doctrine. It is however, criminal to see how the poor have been given an erroneous un-Biblical expectation that if they give their hard-earned pittance to the Pastor, God will prosper their businesses and pour out an abundance of wealth upon them. In a 6 hour long service in Nigeria, I witnessed no less than 10 offerings being taken up, with the promise that God will abundantly repay the ‘loan’.

The exploitation of these people by big name Preachers, began to unfold in all its horror, when our Nigerian brethren told us how millions of dollars are sent ahead of a visit by Benny Hinn and others, to rally the people together. We were also told that a sister was offered money to arrive on crutches and fake a healing, fortunately she refused, but no doubt others obliged. Apparently the DVD recordings of these campaigns is then used to raise funds in America. It is no wonder that the central theme of Christianity in West Africa is money!

We were aware from previous visits, that ancestral worship plagues many an Africa Christian, but this time a Nigerian Bishop told us that the pagan practise of human sacrifice has found its way back into Charismatic church circles. He gave us the shocking news that 11 Charismatic Pastors in Nigeria had sacrificed their wives!
It is very hard to gauge from the singing, praising, chanting, dancing, shouting and motivational preaching, with the loud congregational responses and money-centred theme, how many of these precious souls have repented of their sin, believed that Jesus died and rose for their justification and is now offering them all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

We do thank the Lord for the opportunity to share the importance of Scripture and the centrality of Jesus with the brethren who attended the Conferences and have asked for follow-up notes of sound Christ-centred teaching to equip them to stand firm upon the Foundation of Jesus Christ our Rock. Our earnest prayer is that they will have the courage to believe and preach this unpopular message against the over-whelming odds and appeal of the distorted prosperity doctrine. – Malcolm Harris

THE GOOD FOUNDATION - Matt 7:21-27

The Bible tells us of our need to please God. To do this we need faith.
Faith is simply submitting to the Word spoken to us by Jesus Christ. By doing this we also become wise people with lives established upon the "rock foundation" Jesus refers to in Matt 7: 24 – 27.

Our focus now turns to see what the Lord has to teach us about the foundation upon which our lives will be established, and to ensure we have been established upon the rock foundation of Jesus' sayings.
These commands, doctrines and ways of life "guarantee" a stable and eternal life. They form what is illustrated as a rock foundation.

THE APOSTOLIC FOUNDATION

The Apostle Paul recognised the need for a firm foundation to be established in a Christian’s life and so he laid this foundation wherever he preached. 1 Cor 3: 10

According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 1 Cor 3: 11
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2: 19 – 20

19. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners but fellow citizens
with the saints and of the household of God.
20. And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone.

Notice from these above verses how Paul identifies himself with the wise builder that Jesus spoke about in Matt 7: 24. Then he warns us to take care to build wisely once having obtained that foundation. He clearly tells that Jesus Christ is this foundation and there is no other foundation for the Christian faith, to enable those who desire it. Other instruments were used to propagate the sayings and principles of Christ. They were the Apostles and Prophets. It is, therefore, important to become familiar with the teachings of these prophets and apostles. Paul is quick, in this verse, to again draw our attention to the fact that while their ministry forms part of the foundation laying, Jesus is the "Chief corner stone", or the key to its location and dimensions.

We conclude from these verses that our Christian life, while totally dependant on Jesus, requires a careful interest in and acceptance of these teachings of the Apostles and Prophets of the Bible.

JESUS SENDS THE APOSTLES

If the apostles were included in the formation of the foundation of the Christian faith, then when we look at the official commissioning (sending) of the apostles we will not only be made aware of their authority but will also get a more detailed account of the principles they were given to form our foundation. Let us first record some of the Bible references to their calling:

Matt 28: 18 - 20
18. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.
19. Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptising them in the Name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
20. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Mark 16: 15
And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature. Luke 24: 47 - 49
47. And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48. And ye are witnesses of these things.
49. And behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Acts 1: 2, 3, 4, 8
2. Until the day in which He was taken up, after that He through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen.
3. To whom also He shewed Himself alive after His passion by many infallible
proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
4. And being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith He, ye have heard of Me.
8. But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
By reading the context of these verses you will note that Jesus was giving His disciples instructions about the work He was sending them to do. This He was doing just before He ascended back into Heaven.

He knew that these were His last moments of being with them physically, so He was teaching them the important aspects of their commission, i.e. His final important instructions.
Important features of the discussion that Jesus held with His disciples are: -

A. Teach and preach to all nations.
1. The Gospel
2. To observe all things whatsoever He had commanded them
3. Repentance and remission of sins

B. Baptise in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

C. Tarry for power from on high.
1. To be witnesses
2. For signs following

The disciples had a specific task to perform on behalf of Jesus as they took their place in the foundation of the Christian faith. As seen above the three avenues were Preaching and Teaching, Baptising, and Receiving the Power of God for service.
With such a vital responsibility the disciples would have been obedient to this call. So further light can be derived if we look at their lives to see what they did as they fulfilled their responsibility. In the verses above specific reference is made to their calling rather than the details of the doctrines. Our interests do not lie in what they were called to do but rather in principles they were given to give to the church to form our Rock Foundation.

THE DISCIPLES RESPOND TO JESUS’ COMMANDS

As we examine the scriptures, in search of the valuable details of our rock foundation, we find that the disciples obeyed the Lord Jesus in every way.

GATHERED TOGETHER FOR POWER Acts 1: 13 - 15
13. And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus and Simon Zealotes, and Judas the brother of James.
14. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the
women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brethren.
15. And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples ...

Acts 2: 1, 4
1. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
4. And they were filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other
tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Preach the Gospel Acts 2: 21, 36, 38
21. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
36. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
38. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Preach to all Nations Acts 2: 5
And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation
under heaven.

Baptise Converts Acts 2: 41
Then they that gladly received His word and were baptised.

Observed all Things Acts 2: 42
And they continued steadfastly in the Apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in
breaking of bread and prayers.
In Acts 2:1 onwards we read of the disciples gathering together at Jerusalem as they were commanded. The Holy Ghost was poured out as Jesus promised. They preached the Gospel and you will notice that as Jesus commanded they preached "repentance and baptism".
They were to share with all nations and Acts 2:5 tells us that men of all nations were present to hear their preaching. There were wonderful results to the obedience of the disciples. Three thousand souls were added to the church and were baptised.
It is important to note here how the disciples would lay the foundation in the lives of these new believers.
Look at what happened immediately after the 3000 souls were converted in
Acts 2:41,42. After they were baptised they "continued steadfastly" in: -

A. THE APOSTLES' DOCTRINE
B. FELLOWSHIP
C. BREAKING OF BREAD
D. PRAYERS
The teaching given by the Apostles to those new converts was a passing on of the sayings or principles committed to them by Jesus and thus the "rock foundation" teachings.
These teachings caused these new converts to become faithful in four different Christian practices, which no doubt, any Christian wishing to become established on the firm foundation of Jesus, would want to participate in.
What then are these four Christian practices that are necessary for our lives?

A. PRAYERS
The need to be in communication with the God in whom we have now put our
confidence is essential. He is the source of life in every way. By means of prayer we are able to make our requests known before Him and so know the answer. Pray together with other fellow Christians.

B. BREAKING OF BREAD
The Communion service is when we partake of the emblems, bread and wine, in remembrance of covenant rights now made ours through the shed Blood of Jesus. Jesus commanded that we as His disciples partake of the emblems. It is an Ordinance and not a sacrament – the Sacrifice was Paid at Calvary!

C. FELLOWSHIP
This is an avenue practiced by Christians whereby they are able to share their
common blessings and convictions, and encourage one another in their holy faith.

D. APOSTLES' DOCTRINE
This is the teaching of Apostles, imparting the principles Jesus gave them, and which must become part of the believer's life. He should continue in these doctrines, as they are his foundation. To continue in the apostles’ doctrine we must know specifically what they are.

THE APOSTLES' DOCTRINE
As we have followed the scripture thus far we have concluded that
The Sayings of Jesus
The Rock Foundation
The Apostles’ Doctrine are all the same foundation teaching.
It is important to know these titles because by them God tells us what they should mean to us. Our question now is - WHAT IS THE APOSTLES’ DOCTRINE?

Whatever these teachings were that were given to the new converts, they produced “faithful” Christians living as those who gladly received the word of the Apostles. It also proved a “fruitful” way if we look at the results of the Apostles’ work.
To find out what was taught it would be important to note who was doing the preaching in Acts 2. Verses 14, 37 and 38 tell us that Peter was the spokesman. If we follow the teachings of Peter in his Epistle, we will find out more of the doctrine he presented to the new converts. Peter, writing a letter to the Christians, refers to what he was given by Jesus that formed the important foundation teachings.

1 Peter 1:22, 23, 25
22. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit
unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
23. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.
25. But the Word of the Lord endureth forever, and this is the Word which by the Gospel is preached unto you.
1 Peter 2:1, 2, 3
1. Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings.
2. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word that ye may grow
thereby.
3. If so be that ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. Here Peter refers to the Gospel that he was commanded to preach and says, “This Word
endures forever”. Again the Spirit of the Lord is saying that the word of Jesus, given to the Apostles to teach, forms a solid foundation because it ‘endures forever”.
In verse 2 he calls the believers to “grow” in their faith, and then refers to the newly converted Christians as being “babes”. For these new spiritual babes to grow, he says they need to desire the “sincere milk of the Word’.
Whatever the milk of the Word might be, it is the same teaching that caused the growth in the new converts of Acts 2.
As new converts who now desire to grow in our spiritual life, our interest will be to discover the meaning of “the milk of the Word”.

THE MILK OF THE WORD
Peter says by this Word of truth we have “purified our souls” (verse 22), “we have been born again” and also by this Word, in milk form, “we grow”. To a baby milk is the elementary food that holds all the required nourishment, and is simple to digest. This must apply to the meaning of the word which Jesus instructed Peter to give to the new converts.
Paul takes up this line of thought, referring to young Christians who have yet to mature in their spiritual strength to resist the power of sin, and be strong disciples free to serve the Lord.

1 Corinthians 3:1-3
1. And I brethren, could not speak to you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal,
even as unto babes in Christ.
2. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat; for hitherto ye were not able to
bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
Paul shows the difference between a spiritual and a carnal disciple. The carnal Christian, or babe, cannot take the deeper spiritual truths of the teachings of Jesus, which he calls the “meat”. They need the milk, which will strengthen them to overcome the carnal behaviour of fightings, strivings and grudges, or envying. The Christians Paul was speaking to here were divided, and so he saw it needful for elementary truths to be given to them to encourage them to again be settled on the firm foundation of Jesus, as a
building that cannot be moved.
Later Paul again dealing with carnal Christians, or babes, gives us further insight into the “milk teaching”.
Hebrews 5:11-14
11. Of whom (Jesus) we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
12. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk and not strong meat.
13. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by
reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

THE FIRST PRINCIPLES OF THE ORACLES OF GOD
Once again Paul shows that Christians that bicker and strive are carnal and so cannot understand the meat of God’s Word, but need the milk that will enable them to grow and mature.
In verse 12 above, Paul calls the milk doctrine “the first principles of the oracles of God”, which means he looks upon the Apostles’ doctrine as being “the primary fundamental truths of the Divine revelation of God”.

So, as we put the teachings of Peter and Paul together from these verses, we get a picture of a Babe or Carnal Christian who needs milk. From this summary we can judge to see if we need to know more about the milk of the Word so that we might grow: Peter’s signs of being a babe are: Envy, strife, division, malice, guile, hypocrisies, evil speakings, walk as men (void of influence of God) dull of hearing, untaught in the Word, unskilful in the Word of righteousness, senses that have not been exercised to discern between
good and evil.

Any Christian who is guilty of any of the above items definitely needs to know more about the Apostles’ doctrine so that he might grow. God graciously gives us a checklist like this not to condemn us as unworthy and hopeless, but that HE might provoke the understanding of our need that we might DESIRE THE SINCERE MILK OF THE WORD.

In Hebrews 6 Paul gets down to a more direct title to the milk of the Word by relating these doctrines to Christ.

Hebrews 6:1-3

1. Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto
perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith towards God,

2. Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgement.

3. And this we will do if God permit.
John in his epistle follows the Apostle in the acceptance and importance of the doctrines of Christ stating that, not to accept and apply them, jeopardises the Christian’s salvation and thus his relationship with God. He even denounces any fellowship with those who deny these doctrines.

2 John: 9,10

9. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house neither bid him God speed.

THE PRINCIPLES OF THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST

(The fundamental truths of the teachings of Christ)
The different titles we can now apply to the important sayings of Jesus that are needed by the newly converted, and those the disciples of Acts 2 continued in, are:

The Foundation Teaching

The Rock Foundation

The Apostles’ Doctrine

The Milk of the Word

The First Principles of the Oracles of God

The Principles of the Doctrine of Christ

Though different names are used, they all refer to the same basic teachings of Jesus.
Now if we look carefully at Hebrews 6:1 and 2, we will notice Paul not only gives further dimension to the titles of these doctrines but God gives him the headings of the doctrines incorporated in the Apostles’ doctrine. They are:

1. Repentance from Dead Works
Deals with man’s start to make right with God.

2. Faith toward God
How to appropriate the promises of God

3. Doctrine of Baptisms
In this teaching there are four different baptisms:

A) Into the Body of Christ - Our Salvation

B) Into Water - The attitude of our walk

C) Of the Holy Ghost - The power in our walk

D) Of sufferings - Resistance to opposition and endurance

4. Laying on of Hands
Sharing with others the indwelling Christ

5. Resurrection of the Dead
Inner Motivation to focus on eternal values

6. Eternal Judgement
Settling of Accounts and eternal consequences

7. Going on unto Perfection
The incentive to hear, receive, know, believe, OBEY and Declare Doctrines 1 – 6

Each of these will now be carefully studied, that, in receiving the milk, the believer may be established upon the foundation of God that stands sure.

WE MUST KNOW – BELIEVE – OBEY – THE FIRST PRINCIPLES OF THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST – IT is VITAL to our SALVATION – Amen

I AM hates Clergy&Laity – Rev2:6&15)

Why? saith the LORD of hosts;

1. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
(there is 35000 Denominations, all built with man’s own devilish plans of dreams and schemes! – Eph 4:14 )

2. Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit. (2008 -2014 Economy into recession and World bankrupcy)
3. I AM called for a drought upon the land (churches are carnal), and upon the mountains (false Word being ministered), & upon the corn, & upon the new wine, & upon the oil, & upon that which the ground bringeth forth, & upon men (few Salvations) & upon cattle & upon all the labor of the hands (dead works by lying religeous “clergy” in white suites – hirelings & thieves!)

Hag 1:12 The remnant of the people (the True Spiritfilled Bible believing Christians), obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of the Prophet (the Messenger of GOD)

1. as the LORD their God had sent him (a True Messengers of The Faith)

2. The people did fear before the LORD (Consecrated& Obedient to the WORD)

Hag 1:13 Then spoke Haggai, the LORD's Messenger in the LORD's Message unto the people, saying,

1. I AM with you, saith the LORD

2. the LORD stirred up the spirit of all the remnant of the people;

3. they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God (The True Bible believing Christians will be filled with the Holy Spirit – Acts 1:8 – and will become Co-Builders in the Body of Christ as per the Instructions of The WORD! Romans 12 - Ephesians 3&4)

Chapter Two

Hag 2:1 The WORD of the LORD came by the prophet on 21st day of the seventh Month, saying, to the remnant of the people;

1. Who is left among you that saw this house (The Original church as in the days of Apostle Paul – The true Body of Christ as per the Pauline Revelation – see enclosed Documentation)

2. and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing? (the Denominations are powerless and poor – Rev 3:14-22)

3. Yet now be strong, be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work

4. For I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:

5. According to the Word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not. ( I AM will REVEAL to the Born again Christians the Mystery of the True Body of Christ - Pauline Revelation)

Hag 2:6 Thus saith the LORD of hosts;

1. Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; ( the earth was shaken with earthquakes at Calvary)

2. I AM will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: (Christ Jesus conquered death, hell and the grave and AROSE! – Halleluja!)

3. I will fill this house (True Body of Christ) with glory, saith the LORD of hosts

4. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts

5. The glory of this latter house (New Covenant) shall be greater than of the former (Old Testament), saith the LORD of hosts:

6. and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.

Hag 2:10 The Word of the LORD came by Haggai ( the Declarer of GOD) on the
24th day of the ninth month, saying,

Hag 2:11 Thus saith the LORD of hosts;

1. Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,

2. If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy?

3. And the priests answered and said, No!

Hag 2:13 Then said Haggai (The Messenger of GOD Almighty)

1. If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean?

2. And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean!

Hag 2:14 Then answered Haggai, and said,

1. So is this people, (churchgoers, carnal unbelieving “christians”, self seekers, “your Best life Now” lies, “Jesus make me a millionaire”, all deceived! )

2. and so is this nation (the denominations, churchians, religion workers, mammon preachers & deceivers) before me, saith the LORD

3. and so is every work of their hands ( all defiled, devilish, deception)

4. and that which they offer there is unclean! (unholy, clergy, filth, self exhalting worshipping, devilish doctrines, workers of unrighteousness! )

Hag 2:15 And now, I pray you, consider from this day upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD: (Christ is The Rock – JESUS is the Stone – HE IS the Foundation, HE IS the Cornerstone and HE IS the Headstone) 1Peter 2:4-8

1. Since those days were, when one came to a heap of twenty measures, there were but ten: when one came to the wine vat for to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty. (there has been a great shortfall& a lacking of fruit in the “church” because of the past iniquities& deception)

2. I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labors of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD (there has been sin, shame, divorce, unrighteousness, divisions, lies and deceit, yet the “churches” has shamefully continued with their deception in the 35000 denominations, with No WORD Obedience nor JESUS POWER!

Hag 2:18 Consider now from this day & upward, from the day that the foundation of the LORD's temple was laid (the True Church – The Body of Christ) consider

1. Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth fruit:

2. from this day will I bless you! (Those true Believers that return to the Mountain – the ROCK and fully Surrender their lives to the WORD, Obey the WILL of the Father and Sacrifice their self to The WAY of the Messiah - Amen)

Hag 2:20 And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the 24th day of the ninth month, saying to the People;

1. I will shake the heavens & the earth (the earthquakes & tsunamis increasing)

2. And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, (world rulers are stumbling)

3. I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; (America is bankrupt)

4. and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother. (the world is in turmoil, there is NO peace, politician is killing politician)

Hag 2:23 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts,

1. I AM will take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel ( all true Born Again Believers, Obedient to the WORD and fulfilling the WILL of the Father, as per Matt 7:20-25)

2. Saith the LORD, (The Head of the Body of Christ – Eph 3:10)

3. and will make thee as a signet (Significant sonship, Signify, Signing powers as Co-heir, Sign of Sonship, a Saint of God, My declarer, My Ambassador, a Victorious Messenger of the MESSIAH!)

4. for I have chosen thee, Act 9:15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto ME, to bear My Name before the Gentiles & kings, and the children of Israel: Act 9:16 For I will show him how great things he must suffer for My Name's sake.

Saith the LORD of hosts!

Now Is The Time For You To Be All You Were Meant To Be!

Fulfill Your Lifes Destiny As A Member Of A Chosen Generation,
You Have A Work For Humanity.
Prophecy Telling This Generation How To Be Gods Anointed Branch,
Is. 11:1-5.

Conquering Debt God’s Way.

Friend,

I magine yourself one year from today having eliminated the bulk of your personal debt and being well on your way to having a less financially stressful life. “What are the odds?” You might ask. After all, today’s financial economy is much different than in years past.

Americans spend more time on the job than workers in any other industrialized nation in the world.

There is a need to have a two income household and so consequently, 65% of children under the age of 4 are spending most of their waking hours in daycare.

Americans have more personal debt than ever before in history.

And more than 1.5 million Americans filed for bankruptcy last year.

My wife Ruthie and I were a part of that vicious cycle of working more and still being $200 short every month of meeting our financial commitments. For eleven years of our marriage we were losing ground financially until finally...

“Ruthie and I found ourselves a slave to debt and after years of living in financial straits my emotional rubber band snapped!”

I was tired of feeling the pressure of being in bondage to credit card debt with interest that was snowballing us into a financial catastrophe. I was tired of spending less time focusing on my wife and three precious daughters, because I was consumed with worry about our financial situation. I was tired of feeling the physical manifestations of living a stressed-out life. I'd had enough...
so desperate times calls for desperate measures.
I turned to the only one who could possibly give us wisdom on how to get out of this mess. I sought out the supreme authority on financial matters. I turned to God and that is when He revealed in His Word the 5 step principles that got us out of debt along with thousands of others I have had the privilege of sharing with. Here are a few of the testimonies of amazing stories we hear all the time.

"We just past a year on paying off our debts. We started with 11 bills and a debt of $61,670.11 and now we are down to 3 bills with $28,774.67. That is almost $33,000 that we have paid off. Just think this time next year we will be debt free." G & J Duty

Have you ever wondered how to APPLY the wisdom of the Bible?
Everyone seems to be able to read you scripture, and explain what Jesus and men did 2000 years ago... but did you ever wonder why they themselves cannot apply these things and manifest the Power that is the birthright of True Believers, or wonder why they do not teach you... as Jesus did to the Disciples, and to their Disciples etc?

Shocking info about JESUS

"You got to be careful out there....."

The Destiny of the Middle East

The Destiny of the Middle East - by Dr. David R. Reagan – www.lamblion.com

Why has God regathered the Jews to their homeland? What is the likely future of Israel? What does it all mean to the Church?

The Regathering

God has regathered the Jews from the four corners of the earth because He has a plan of redemption for a great remnant of them. His plan is to gather them to their homeland and bring all the nations of the world together against them over the issue of the control of Jerusalem.

This will ultimately lead to another holocaust that will be worse than the one perpetrated by the Nazis. Zechariah says that two thirds of the Jews will die (Zechariah 13:8). But out of that horrible experience, the Jews will be brought to the end of themselves, with no one to turn to for help except God. That's when the remnant will repent of their rejection of the Messiah and will accept Him as their Savior (Zechariah 12:10 and 13:1). The apostle Paul taught this concept in the New Testament in Romans 9-11. He argues that a great remnant of the Jews (Romans 9:27) will turn to the Lord and be saved (Romans 11:25-26).

The Likely Future

There are some tough days ahead for the Jews of Israel. I believe the most likely scenario is a major war that will result in Arab missile attacks on Tel Aviv and Haifa. To survive, the Israelis will have to respond with nuclear weapons. This is probably the reason the Bible teaches that Damascus will cease to exist in the end times (Isaiah 17:1-14 and Jeremiah 49:23-27).

With the destruction of Damascus, the Arab world will be thrown into a panic. That's when they will call for help from their natural ally, the Russians. The Russians will then send a great army to destroy Israel. The Russians will be motivated not only by their ingrained anti-Semitism, but also by their desire to seize all the Arab oil fields in the Middle East.

The Bible says the Russian army will be destroyed supernaturally on the hills of Israel in such a way that even the Israelis will know that they were not responsible for it (Ezekiel 38:17-23 and 39:1-6). At that point the whole world will be thrown into a panic, and that atmosphere of hysteria will provide the perfect opportunity for the Antichrist to step forward with the "perfect" plan for peace in the Middle East.

The Meaning for the Church

Why should Gentiles in the Church of the 21st Century be concerned about what is happening among the Jewish people in the Middle East today? Why should we be following the events in that part of the world with bated breath? Why should we be concerned about the survival of Israel? Why should we be searching the Scriptures daily concerning prophecies about the Middle East? Why should we be praying daily for the peace of Jerusalem? There are three reasons.

The events in the Middle East are proof that God is faithful to His promises. God is fulfilling in detail promises that He made to the Jewish people 2,500 years ago. And as we see each of these promises fulfilled, we can likewise be assured that God is going to fulfill every promise He has made to the Church.

God has promised that one day soon, Jesus will appear in the heavens, the dead in Christ will be resurrected, the living believers will be caught up to meet the Lord in the sky, and both the living and dead will be given new, glorified bodies. We will return to heaven with Jesus where we will be judged of our works to determine our degrees of reward. We will also celebrate our union with Jesus in a great feast that will symbolize the union of the Bride (the Church) with her Bridegroom (Jesus).

We will then return to earth with Jesus to see Him crowned as King of kings and Lord of lords. He will reign over all the world from Jerusalem. We will be scattered all over the world to assist Him in His reign, serving as mayors, governors, presidents, judges, and teachers. We will see the earth flooded with peace, righteousness, and justice as the waters cover the sea.

At the end of His reign, we will be transferred to the new Jerusalem He is preparing now. From that vantage point, we will watch as the earth is superheated with fire, and the pollution of Satan's last revolt is burned away. Out of that fiery inferno will come a new earth. We will then be lowered down to that new earth inside the new Jerusalem, and God Himself will descend to the new earth to live in our presence forever.

Those are the marvelous promises that have been made to what the Bible calls "overcomers" (Revelation 21:1-7) that is, to those who have placed their faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior (1 John 5:1-5). As I witness God fulfilling His promises to the Jews, my hope soars concerning the promises God has made to the Church. I know He will fulfill every one of them.

The events in the Middle East are a testimony to God's unfathomable grace. Think about it for a moment — any god created by the mind of Man would have annihilated the Jews a long time ago. Only a God of grace would have put up with the Jews and continued to love them. Their own prophets refer to them as "stiff necked," "stubborn," and "rebellious." Yet, despite their rejection of God as king of their nation, and their rejection of His Son as king of their hearts, God continues to love them and pursue them with the intention of bringing a great remnant to salvation. That's grace.

A Personal Experience

When I first started preaching about the Jews, my wife came to me and said, "When you emphasize how much God loves the Jews, you make me want to be a Jew." I made two points in response. First, I told her that she really didn't want to be a Jew because if she were one, the overwhelming odds are that she would have a spiritual veil over her eyes that would keep her from recognizing Jesus as her Messiah. Then I made an even more important point. I stated that God is not doing one thing for the Jews that He is not willing to do for everyone.

The Jews continue to this day to be witnesses of God. Their history shows what it means to have a relationship with God. When they are faithful, He blesses. When they are rebellious, He disciplines. When they repent, He forgives and forgets and starts blessing again. And so it is with any person or nation.

The Jews are currently under discipline. They have not yet repented, and they therefore do not deserve to be regathered to their homeland. They do not merit God's love and care. But neither do you or I. The only thing any of us deserve is death. We have hope only because our God is a God of grace.

A Sign of the Second Coming

The events in the Middle East are evidence that Jesus is returning soon. The Bible says that Jesus will return when the Jews are back in their homeland and their capital city. It also says that it will be a time when all the world has come together against Israel over the issue of the control of Jerusalem.

The Jewish state was re established on May 14, 1948. The Jews re occupied the city of Jerusalem on June 7, 1967. Since 1991, all the world has been pressuring the Israeli government to surrender all or part of Jerusalem. The fulfillment of these prophecies makes it clear that we are on the threshold of the Tribulation. That means the Rapture of the Church is imminent. Jesus is at the very gates of Heaven, waiting for His Father's command to return. We are living on borrowed time.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6), and remember, that when you do so, you are really praying for the return of Jesus, for Jerusalem will not enjoy true peace until the Prince of Peace returns

To Honor God in Business Dealings

Father, You are love, and I desire to be an imitator of You, that Your life may be manifested this day to my employees.

Thank You for wise counsel, for giving me ears to hear and for helping me to analyze all that I say and do for the good and betterment of my staff. Help me to speak truly, deal truly and live truly in harmony with You, myself and my co-laborers. In all my ways I acknowledge You, and You direct my ways.

Because I commit to You the decisions that I am responsible for making, You cause my thoughts to become agreeable to Your will and so my plans shall be established and succeed. Thank You for the courage to say no when it is necessary for the good of this company, and in keeping with Your plan and purpose for it.

We are an interdependent people—mutually dependent one upon the other. Each department operates in harmony and agreement—not [merely] concerned with its own interests, but also with the interests of others.

As an example to my employees, I commit to do to others what I would have them do to me. It is my desire to walk uprightly before You; therefore, I consider, direct and establish my way with the confidence of integrity.

You are my confidence, and You keep my foot from being snared. Your love is shed abroad in my heart so that I love my neighbor as myself.
In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Renewing the mind

Father, in Jesus’ name, I thank You that I shall prosper and be in health, even as my soul prospers. I have the mind of Christ, the Messiah, and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart. I trust in You, Lord, with all of my heart; I lean not unto my own understanding, but in all of my ways I acknowledge You, and You shall direct my paths.

Today I submit myself to Your Word, which exposes and sifts and analyzes and judges the very thoughts and purposes of my heart. (For the weapons of my warfare are not carnal, but mighty through You to the pulling down of strongholds — intimidation, fears, doubts, unbelief, and failure.) I refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the (true) knowledge of God; and I lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One.

Today I shall be transformed by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Your Word, Lord, shall not depart out of my mouth; but I shall meditate on it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then I shall make my way prosperous, then I shall have good success.
My thoughts are the thoughts of the diligent, which tend only to plenteousness. Therefore, I am not anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and *petition, with thanksgiving, I present my requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus.

Today I fix my mind on whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious. If there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, I will think on and weigh and take account of these things.

Today I roll my works upon You, Lord — I commit and trust them wholly to You; [You will cause my thoughts to become agreeable to Your will, and] so shall my plans be established and succeed.
In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Those Involved in Abortion

Through our ministry, a dear child of God shared with us the following Scriptures, which continue to bring her through periods of grief and sorrow. God’s grace and love have proven to be the balm necessary for healing the emotional pain incurred by an act that cannot be reversed. The memory of the decision will never be erased. Reminders are all around — at church, in the media and in everyday life.

The prayer as written has a two-fold application: (1) for a people — a nation — who has permitted the legalization of abortion on demand; (2) for both the man and woman involved in the decision-making process. During moments of intercession for women and men who are dealing with past mistakes, we have identified with them in their pain. God’s Word is the medicine that heals and the salvation of souls.
Prayer 1
Father, in the name of Jesus, forgive us as a nation for disregarding the sanctity of life. We recognize that each
1 This prayer can also be prayed in the singular “I” form by the individual person involved in abortion.
person is uniquely created by You, Lord — marvelously made! You know each one inside and out, You know every bone in the body. You know exactly how we are made, bit by bit, how we are sculpted from nothing into something. All the stages of a life are spread out before you, and the days are prepared before a child even lives one day. Since we now see clearly, we value the life You give.

Father, each of us is an open book to You; even from a distance, You know what we are thinking. We are never out of Your sight. When we look back, we realize that You were there. You were present when we put to death the being/beings to whom You gave life.
Lord, we repent of our sin and the sin of our nation. Be merciful unto us, O Lord. We ask Your forgiveness, and You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Unless Your law had been our delight, we would have perished in our affliction. We will never forget Your precepts, [how can we?] for it is by them You have quickened us (granted us life).

We are ready to halt and fall; our pain and sorrow are continually before us. For we do confess our guilt and iniquity; we are filled with sorrow for our sin.
So [instead of further rebuke, now] we desire rather to turn and be [graciously] forgiven and comforted and encouraged to keep us from being overwhelmed by excessive sorrow and despair.
We look to Jesus as our Savior and Consolation and welcome His peace and completeness to our souls. We cannot bring our child/children back again; we shall go to them; they will not return to us.
We are awaiting and looking for the [fulfillment, the realization of our] blessed hope, even the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
In His name we pray, amen.

Submission: Thy Will Be Done

Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray that the will of God be done in my life as it is in heaven. For I am Your [own] handiwork (Your workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that I may do those good works that You predestined (planned beforehand) for me, (taking paths that You prepared ahead of time) that I should walk in them — living the good life that You prearranged and made ready for me to live.

Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; let Your good Spirit lead me into a plain country and into the land of uprightness. Jesus, You gave (yielded) Yourself up [to atone] for my sins (and to save and sanctify me), in order to rescue and deliver me from this present, wicked age and world order, in accordance with the will and purpose and plan of our God and Father.

In the name of Jesus, I am not conformed to this world, but I am transformed by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. For this is the will of God: that I should be consecrated — separated and set apart for pure and holy living; that I should abstain from all sexual vice; that I should know how to possess [control, manage] my own body (in purity, separated from things profane, and) in consecration and honor, not [to be used] in the passion of lust, like the heathen who are ignorant of the true God and have no knowledge of His will.

Father, thank You that You chose me — actually picked me out for Yourself as Your own — in Christ before the foundation of the world; that I should be holy (consecrated and set apart for You) and blameless in Your sight, even above reproach, before You in love: having predestinated me unto the adoption of a child by Jesus Christ to Yourself, according to the good pleasure of Your will.

Your will be done on earth in my life as it is in heaven. Amen and so be it!

Are There Many Roads to God? If not, why not?

"What will happen to those who have never heard the Gospel?" This is one of the most frequent questions asked. People believe that God is just, and they cannot reconcile that belief with the idea that He might cast a person in Hell who never was given an opportunity to hear the Gospel.

Therefore, increasingly, many are concluding that there must be many roads to God and that sincere Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Roman Catholics, New Agers and others will make it to Heaven.

Crucial questions

What does the Bible have to say about this important issue? Are those who live and die without hearing the Gospel condemned to an eternity in Hell? And what about those who have put their faith in the god of some religion other than Biblical Christianity and who strive to live righteous lives? Are they also condemned to Hell? Is it possible that God has revealed Himself in different ways to different peoples, and therefore there are many different roads to God?

Please continue reading this article to the very end.

What the Lord Jesus said

People are constantly asking: “What is so special about Jesus? Why is He the only way that someone can know God?” Along with this problem of the heathen, there is no question asked more often than this one. We are accused of being narrow-minded because we teach that there is no other way to get to God. The first point to make is that we did not invent the claim of Jesus being the only way. This is not our claim; it is His. We are merely relating His claim, and the claim of the writers of the New Testament. Let's begin our search for an answer to these questions by taking a look at what Jesus had to say —

“For unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins” (John 8:24).

"I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me" (John 14:6).

"Everyone therefore who shall confess Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 10:32-33).

"The one who listens to you listens to Me, and the one who rejects you rejects Me; and he who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me" (Luke 10:16).

“I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life” (John 5:24).

"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." (John 17:3).

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16).

What conclusion can we draw from these statements? I would propose the following:

1. Jesus is the one and only way to God.
2. Those that repent of their sin and put their faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior alone will be saved.
3. Those that reject Jesus will be condemned, for those who reject Jesus are guilty of rejecting God.
4. The essence of salvation is to be reconciled to the one and true God and a personal relationship with Him.

What God through His apostles in the New Testament said

These conclusions are affirmed in the Epistles (Romans to Revelation), as you can see from the following statements —

“…from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen” (Romans 9:5).

“…His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life” (1 John 5:20).

"Therefore, let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him [Jesus] both Lord and Christ [Messiah] — this Jesus whom you crucified…repent …in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins" (Acts 2:36-38).

"Let it be known to all of you, and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead...there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:10-12).

"God our Savior desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus who gave Himself as a ransom for all..." (1Timothy 2:3-6).

"Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ [Messiah]? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also" (1 John 2:22-23).

"...God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life" (1 John 5:11-12).

Again, the conclusions that can be drawn from these statements are self-evident:

1. Jesus was the Messiah — the Savior — promised by God.
2. There is salvation in no other person except Jesus.
3. Those that reject Jesus are guilty of rejecting the Father.

Confirmation of these conclusions: "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him" (John 3:36).
It is clear that God must deal with sin for He is a just God (Psalm 37:28 and Isaiah 61:8). He deals with sin in one of two ways, either grace or wrath. Whether or not a person is under grace or wrath depends upon whether he or she has repented of sin and have put their faith in Jesus alone as their Lord and Savior. Those who have done so, have the promise of eternal life. Those who refuse to do so will experience God's wrath.

What God through His prophets in the Old Testament said

“Yet I am the Lord your God…And you shall know no God but Me; for there is no savior besides Me” (Hosea 13:4).

“Now see that I, even I, am He, and there is no God besides Me;…Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand” (Deuteronomy 32:39).

“I, the Lord, am the first; and with the last I am He.” (Isaiah 41:4).

“…Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no savior” (Isaiah 43:10-11).

“There is no other God besides Me, a just God and a Savior; there is none besides Me” (Isaiah 45:21,22).

“Listen to Me,…I am He, I am the First, I am also the Last” (Isaiah 48:12).

“Our Lord is above all gods…The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands…they who make them are like them; so is everyone who trust in them” (Psalm 135:5-7,15,18).

The conclusion is clear: people all over the world who worship anything than the one true God revealed in Scripture, are idolaters living in darkness and sin, subject to His judgment.

God's desire pertaining to salvation

But does it not say in 1Timothy 2:3 that God "desires all men to be saved"? Yes, and it is repeated in 2 Peter 3:9: "God does not wish that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

There is no doubt that it is God's perfect will that all should be saved. But in His permissive will, God allows people to reject His Son and thus be lost. In other words, God does not force anyone to be saved. And because of the depraved nature of mankind, the vast majority of those who have ever lived will be lost and consigned to Hell as their eternal destiny.

Jesus stated point blank: "...The gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it. For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it...Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 7:13-14 & 21).

The nature of man

Again, the Bible emphasizes that the fundamental nature of man is evil because we are born with a sin nature that puts us in rebellion against the holiness of God. "There is nothing more deceitful than the human heart" (Jeremiah 17:9).
"There is no one who does good...they have all turned aside...there is no one who does good, not even one" (Psalm 14:1-4; Romans 3:10-18).

The Biblical message is clear that because of our natural depravity, we have no hope apart from faith in a Savior, and Jesus is that Savior. Isaiah summed it up this way in a prophecy about the promised Messiah: "All of us like sheep have gone astray. Each of us has turned to his own way; but the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him [the Messiah]" (Isaiah 53:6).

In the beginning

To understand why this is so, we must go back to the beginning. An infinite-personal God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1) and man in His own image (Genesis 1:26). When He finished creating, everything was good (Genesis 1:31). Man and woman were placed in a perfect environment, with all their needs taken care of. They enjoyed perfect fellowship with God in a personal way (Genesis 1:26-31; 2:7-23; 3:8-9). They were given only one prohibition; they were not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, lest they die (Genesis 2:27). Unfortunately, they disobeyed and eat of the tree (Genesis 3) and the result was a fall in four different areas.

(1)The relationship between God and man was now broken, as can be seen from Adam and Eve’s attempting to hide from God (Genesis 3:8 - 12,14). They suddenly were self-conscious of their guilt. They felt exposed.

(2)The relationship between man and his fellow man was severed, both Adam and Eve arguing and trying to pass blame to someone else (Genesis 3:12-13).

(3)The bond between man and nature was also broken, with the ground producing thorns and thistles and the animal world to longer being benevolent (Genesis 3:17,18). (4)Man also became separated from himself, with a feeling of hopelessness, emptiness and incompleteness, something he had not experienced before the fall. He became a sinner and a criminal in God’s eyes for deliberately breaking His moral Law. If Adam did not disobey, somebody else would have; like you or me. Since then the history of mankind is one of moral and spiritual decline and his condition is worse than ever before (Romans 1:21-32; 2 Timothy 3:13). Darwinian evolution gives no explanation for the human dilemma and also no solution to it. Why is humanity so plagued with so many moral and spiritual problems? It will never be able to answer that question. Pure naturalistic evolution cannot give a reason for anything that is moral or spiritual. Only the Word of God provides us with absolute truth about our condition.

Test yourself against the Word of God: “Whatever comes out of man is what makes man unclean. From the inside, out of the heart of men come bad thoughts, lying, stealing, gossip, deceit, ingratitude, rebellion, selfishness, jealousy, pride, envy, sex sins of a person married, sex sins of a person not married, killing other people, wanting something that belongs to someone else, doing wrong, having a mind that is always looking for sin, speaking against God/using His name in vain, thinking you’re better than you are and doing foolish things. All these bad things come from the inside and make man unclean” Mark 7:22 (TNLB). Clearly we are incapable of saving ourselves because of the transgression of God’s moral Law. Like a criminal in court we are condemned to experience the wrath of a just and holy God. “Sin came into the world by one man, Adam. Sin brought death with it. Death spread to all men because all have sinned” (Romans 5:12).

One way only

However, the one true God promised to make all these things right and gave His Word that He would send a Savior, or Messiah, who would deliver the entire creation from the bondage of sin (Genesis 3:15). God’s Word indeed came true. God became a man in the person of Jesus Christ (John 1:14, 29). Jesus eventually died in our place in order that we could enjoy again a right and personal relationship with God. “God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself” and “He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew know no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:19, 21). God has done it all and our responsibility is to accept that fact. We can do nothing to add to the work of Jesus; it has all been done for us.

If mankind could have reached God any other way, then Jesus would not have had to die. His death and resurrection illustrates the fact that there is no other way. Therefore, no religion or religious leader can bring someone to the knowledge of the one true God. When it comes to eternal matters, we are going to ask the one who is alive the way out of our predicament. This is not Mohammed, not Confucius, not Mary or the Pope, but the Lord Jesus Christ. He is unique. He came back from the dead. This demonstrates He is the one whom He claimed to be (Romans 1:4), the unique Son of God and the only way by which you and I can be reconciled to the true and living God and have a personal relationship with Him.

The message of the Scriptures is clear. There is only one road to God and that is through Jesus of Nazareth. There is no hope in the modern day false religions of Rabbinical Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Roman Catholicism, any of the multitudes of natural religions like Animism or post-modern ideas like pantheism (“god” is in all things) or panentheism (“god” is all things), etc.

An important question

This brings us to a crucial question: Are there any exceptions to the rule that you must repent of your sin and place your faith in Jesus alone in order to be saved?

The answer is yes. We agree with God’s Word (the 66 books of the Bible only) that there are three groups of people who will be saved and will be in heaven without placing their faith in the Lord Jesus per se.

The first group

The first group is composed of infants and those children who have died before the age of accountability. Also included in this group are the millions upon millions of babies who have been killed in their mother’s womb by way of an abortion. The Bible does not specifically state this truth, but it is arrived at through deduction from Biblical statements.

First, there is the example of King David's child that was born of Bathsheba. When the child died seven days after it was born, David proclaimed by inspiration of the Holy Spirit that although the child could not come back to him, one day he would go to be with the child (2 Samuel 12:23).

The idea that those who die before the age of accountability will be saved is reinforced in the New Testament in the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:13-14: “Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, 'Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'"

This principle of not holding children accountable for their sins before they know the difference between right and wrong is also reflected in the book of Deuteronomy. When the Israelites refused to enter the Promised Land because of their unbelief and were afraid they would be defeated by the Canaanites, God punished them for not trusting Him by making them wander in the wilderness until the rebellious generation had died off (see Numbers 13 & 14).

The Lord proclaimed that only two people of the current generation would be allowed to enter the land — namely, Caleb and Joshua, the two spies out of twelve who brought back a positive report stating they believed the Lord would defeat their enemies (Deuteronomy 1:34-38). But then, another exception was made: "Moreover, your little ones...who this day have no knowledge of good or evil, shall enter there [the Promised Land], and I will give it to them, and they shall possess it" (Deuteronomy 1:39).

When God decided not to destroy the wicked city of Nineveh, He said to the prophet Jonah: “And should not I have loving-pity for Nineveh, that great city, where more than 120,000 persons are who cannot discern between their right hand and their left – and much livestock?” (Jonah 3:11).

Another argument in behalf of the salvation of children who die before the age of accountability is the justice of God. The Bible asserts over and over that our Creator is a God of justice (Zephaniah 3:5). He has an overwhelming passion for justice (Micah 6:8). And He promises repeatedly that justice will be one of the characteristics of His Son's millennial reign (Isaiah 42:1-4). How could a God of perfect justice condemn to Hell children who never knew the difference in right and wrong?

Those who die before the age of accountability will be granted eternal life. However, this can happen only by having the blood of Jesus applied to them (Hebrews 9:22).

The second group

This same exception would apply to the mentally handicapped who reach adulthood. Since they are incapable of determining right from wrong and are also incapable of repenting and putting their faith in Jesus, it is only reasonable to conclude that a just God would not hold them accountable and would apply the blood of Jesus to their sins.

They are a constant reminder to us of the fact that we live in a fallen world. There is no doubt that one day, either at death or at the Rapture, their minds will be set right, and will be able to enjoy fellowship with the triune God in heaven eternally.

The third group

The third group that has been saved is those people who lived and died before the birth and revelation of Jesus as God's Son, but who placed their faith in their Creator. Hebrews 11 tells us that people like Abel, Enoch, Noah, and Abraham were justified by their faith in God.

After man sinned in the Garden of Eden, God responded to Adam and Eve’s faith in His promises (3:15-16, 20) by removing their flimsy man-made garments and clothe them with acceptable garments that He Himself provided (Isaiah 61:10). In other words, God slew an animal - the first blood sacrifice, symbolizing the bloody cost of atonement – and covered their shame with the skin taken from that sacrifice. In a similar way, Christ, whose atoning blood was shed for us on the cross, provides His own righteousness as a garment that covers all those who repent from sin and put their trust in Him as Lord and Savior. It’s a picture of what Jesus did for sinners on the cross when He died for a sinful world (2 Corinthians 5:21). These early believers had no Scriptures and their knowledge of the coming Messiah (Jesus) were limited, yet because they related to their Creator in faith, they were saved.

Abraham

Specifically, Genesis 15:6 says that because Abraham believed the Lord, "it was reckoned to him as righteousness."

We should note that Abraham was counted righteous when he believed the promise regarding the Seed. For, in all ages, salvation ultimately comes to rest in the person of Christ. He is the seed. It is not mere faith that saves – but faith in Christ. The Bible clearly teaches that in all ages imputed righteous (salvation) comes by faith in God’s promise of the Messiah.

What was Abraham’s greatest need? Righteousness. This is the greatest need of each individual from past ages, in our world today and in future ages, because “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). “There is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10). It is not enough to be ‘religious’ or ‘spiritual’; God demands that we have perfect righteousness or He will not let us enter His heaven.

How did Abraham receive this righteousness? He believed the Lord, and righteousness was imputed to him. “Impute” means “to put to one’s account.” On the cross, our sins were put on Jesus’ account, when He suffered the punishment that we deserved (Isaiah 53:6, 12). When you repent (leave your sinful ways and change your thinking about yourself), and trust Him alone as Lord and Savior, His righteousness is put on your account (2 Corinthians 5:21), and you stand righteous and forgiven before a holy God.

Still, each of the third group, and many others like them, were dependent upon the future sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for their salvation to be sealed. The forgiveness of their sins depended upon the sacrifice of a perfect person who did not deserve to die. Only the blood of such a person could produce forgiveness of their sins.

That's why Old Testament saints did not go directly to Heaven when they died. They went, instead, to a place called Sheol (Hades in the New Testament), and their souls resided in a compartment called "Abraham's bosom" or "Paradise." They could not be ushered into the presence of a holy God until their sins were forgiven.

After Jesus' death on the Cross, He descended into Hades and made a proclamation (1 Peter 3:19). We are not told specifically what He said, but most likely it was, "The blood has been shed!" We are also told that when Jesus ascended into Heaven, He took a "host of captives" with Him (Ephesians 4:8). In other words, He emptied Hades of those who were saved. Paradise was moved from Hades to Heaven, a reality that Paul later affirmed when he said that he was taken up to "the third heaven," which he identified as Paradise (2 Corinthians 12:1-4).

Another exception?

This brings us back to one of the questions we began with: What about those Gentiles who lived and died throughout history before the Lord Jesus came to earth 2,000 years ago and those today who live and die without ever hearing the Gospel? Are they destined to Hell? Many times it is asked to relieve the individual of any personal responsibility to God. The answer to this question does not determine whether Biblical Christianity is true or not. This matter has already been solved in Jesus Christ by His resurrection from the dead. The matter of authority has been solved once and for all.

Other religions do not lead to God. The Word of God (the 66 books of the Bible only), repeatedly says that God hates, despises, and utterly rejects anything associated with heathen religions and practices. Those who follow such idolatry are not regarded as finding their way to God but rather as having turned their backs on Him, following the ways of darkness.

Because God is a just God (Psalm 89:14) and the Judge of all the earth (Genesis 18:25), therefore He gave us the answer to this question.

No excuse

The Bible reveals that no one has any excuse. “We see the wrath of God revealed from heaven against all the sins of men who suppress the truth in ungodliness. Men know about God. He has made it plain to them. Men cannot say they do not know God. From the beginning of the world, men could see what God is like through the things He has made namely His eternal power and deity. So they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:18-20)

God has given witness of Himself in the universe around us. As we view the world with everything in it and the universe, it is evident that someone made them. This testimony is universal. We know from Scripture verses that God is an invisible spirit (John 4:24; Romans 1:19-20). The physical eye cannot see Him. But His existence is manifest in what He has made – the creation. The creation, which is visible, reveals the existence of the Creator, who is invisible.

Although the people have enough information that God does exist, they become willfully ignorant of the things of God because their hearts are evil, for e.g. rejecting God’s creation acts but ascribe it to the unscientific theories of Darwinian evolution and a ‘big bang’. All people – regardless of whether they have heard about Christ or have read the Bible – are accountable before God. All are without excuse. Their choice to ignore the revelation of God in creation is indefensible (Psalms 19:1-6; Romans 1:20). Scripture teach that those Gentiles who have never heard who respond to the limited light around them (such as God’s witness of Himself in the universe) will receive further, more specific light.

The Bible teaches that God is going to judge the unbelieving world fairly and righteously (Acts 17:31). Just this fact alone should satisfy anyone who wonders how God is going to deal with people who never heard the Gospel. Therefore, the people who ask this question should be very careful not to use this as an excuse for not coming to Christ in repentance and faith in Him alone.

“For when Gentiles (those who have never heard the Gospel) who do not have the Law, do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness, and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them on the day when, according to my Gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus” (Romans 2:11-16).

Gentiles “who have sinned without the Law” will therefore “also perish without the Law,” that is, they will be judged according to their limited knowledge of God. That includes the vast majority of humanity of all times who have never been exposed to the Gospel and the Scriptures. Because they have God’s natural revelation in creation, as well as the witness of right and wrong in their hearts and consciences (vs. 15), they are guilty and accountable. They know instinctively that they are guilty and worthy of death (Romans 1:18-32). Throughout history there have been many unbelievers who have been honest, respectful, faithful, caring, and generous. The fact that they did good things, knowing they were ethically good, proves they had knowledge of God’s “Law written in their hearts.” Therefore if those people never come to trust in the true God, their good deeds will actually witness against them on the Day of Judgment.

The heathen are condemned because of conscience. Men recognize they have an instinctive, built-in sense of right and wrong that generates guilt. The heathen are lost because “their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them.” Building on the instinctive knowledge of right and wrong that the conscience provides, even unbelievers have the obvious ability to determine that certain things are basically right or wrong. Even pagans, agnostics and atheists are able to discern basic right from wrong. No person can stand guiltless before God’s judgment.

An Inuit hunter asked a missionary:”If I did not know about God and sin, would I go to hell?” The missionary said:”No, not if you did not know.” The Inuit hunter asked earnestly:”Then why did you tell me?”

The missionary made a mistake. This is foolishness to have such a thought. God would be unjust to send anyone to Hell because for not knowing something. No one will go to Hell because they haven’t heard of Jesus Christ. The fact is, those who have never heard will perish for lying, stealing, lust in the heart, hate, adultery, fornication, greed, deceit, unthankfulness, gossip, sodomy, bitterness, idolatry, etc. Not recognizing the place of God’s moral Law, eternal damnation will make no sense to the unbeliever. It seems unreasonable that God would eternally damn them for not believing something.

Sin is not failing to hear the Gospel. Rather, “sin is transgression of the Law” (1 John 3:4). If you as a sinner refuse to trust in Jesus Christ when you pass through the door of death, you will perish. This isn’t because you refused to trust the Savior, but because you transgressed the Law of God.

The fact that they do not turn to God proves they do not live up to the light God has given them. The person who genuinely seeks to know and follow God is divinely assured he will succeed. ”And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart…He made from one blood all nations who live on the earth. He set the times and the places where they should live. They were to look for God. Then they might feel after Him and find Him because He is not far from each of us” (Jeremiah 29:13; Acts 17:26-27).

All professing Christians?

This brings us to another group of people — those professing Christians who have never been born again. These are people who claim to be Christians because they profess to believe in Jesus, but they have no personal relationship with Him. Many of these are people who attend church regularly. Some are elders, deacons, teachers, and even pastors. Can they get to Heaven through church membership or by participating in Christian rites like baptism or communion?

The answer of the Bible is a clear "No!" Jesus Himself said that no man can see the kingdom of God unless he is "born again" (John 3:3). That means a person must repent (change his thinking about himself as a “good” person) and put his faith in Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior. It is not sufficient to simply believe that Jesus lived. The Bible says that even "the demons believe and shudder" (James 2:19). But they have rejected Jesus as their Lord.

Going to church or participating in Christian rituals is not another road to Heaven. Our churches are filled with unsaved people who are trusting in their works to get them to Heaven. But the Bible says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith...not as a result of works, that no one should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Someone pointed out that two words sum up one of the fundamental differences between Biblical Christianity and all religions in the world. Those words are "do" and "done." Regarding access to Heaven, all the false religions of the world say, "DO!" Islam for e.g., in the Qur’an says in Surra 23:102,103 that your works will be weighed in the balances on the Day of Judgment and it will then be decided who is saved and who is not, based on whether your good deeds outweighed your bad deeds.’ All false religions and sects basically teach the same thing. Biblical Christianity, in stark contrast, proclaims "DONE!”. In other words, Biblical Christianity declares that Jesus did everything necessary for your salvation through His death on the cross. There is nothing you can add to that.

False expressions of Biblical Christianity (and all religions) require you to earn your salvation by doing works that they require. True Christianity says there is nothing you can do to earn your salvation because it is a free gift of God through repentance of sin and faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior. In this sense, true Christianity is not a religion; rather, it is a relationship. Jesus made this clear when He prayed to God, saying, "...this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent" (John 17:3).

Billy Graham

In this regard I feel compelled to state, respectfully, that this is an area where Billy Graham seems to have strayed from the Gospel. I say this because he has made it very clear in his writings and his public statements that he believes the Roman Catholic Church is a true expression of Christianity.(1)

This is unfortunate because his endorsement of Roman Catholicism has made many Roman Catholics feel comfortable and safe in their false faith of Mary worship, penance, purgatory, transubstantiation, etc. And although I am sure there are some Roman Catholics who have truly repented of their sins and placed their faith in Jesus, the vast majority have not because the Roman Catholic Church has always taught salvation by works — which makes the religion of Roman Catholicism a false form of Christianity.(2)

The bottom line

From a Biblical, Christian perspective, there is no way to escape the conclusion that the Lord Jesus is the only way to God, either through direct faith in Him, or by having the blood of Jesus applied to a person who has responded to God in faith through the testimony of instinct and nature.

To argue that there are other roads to God, as some apostate “Christian” leaders are doing today, is to deny that the sacrifice of Jesus was necessary for the forgiveness of sins. If there really are other roads to God, then Jesus came to earth to die a horrible death for no purpose. His sacrifice was all in vain. Either we are saved by the blood of Jesus, or we are not.

Do you have a personal relationship with the one true and living God?

Billions of people live in false hope and die in that unrepentant, unbelieving state. It is terrible to see people live like this and gamble with their souls and eternity. I ask you: where will you go when you die? Death is not the end of anyone of us. Do you think you will go to heaven? If there is one, are you good enough to go there? What do you trust in to go there? Is it church membership, trusting in sacraments, growing up in a certain tradition, following a religion or teaching or a certain code of ethics or doing so-called good works, with the motive to be a good person? Let’s do a quick and simple test:

How many lies have you told in your life? What about dishonesty in business, work or at home? Have you ever stolen anything, taken anything that does not belong to you, no matter how small? Have you ever had sex before or outside of marriage? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Have you ever look with lust at another person? Have you ever used the name God or Jesus or Lord or Christ in vain when you’re are angry, frustrated or irritated? It is blasphemy and very serious. Do you have feelings of hatred towards another person, culture group or nationality? The Bible says hatred is the same as murder (1 John 3:15). Do you desire what you don’t need or wish for what belongs to another person e.g. his/her house, car, spouse, lifestyle, money? It’s the same as and therefore called idolatry.

By your own admission you are: a liar, a thief, a blasphemer, an adulterer/fornicator, idolater and murderer at heart. If you have done these things and still do them, this is how God sees you: guilty of breaking His moral Law. When you one day stand before God, the Judge of all the earth (Genesis 18:25), on Judgment Day, what will the verdict be? Guilty or not guilty? Guilty, I know myself, you say. The Bible warns that all the guilty like you and me will end up in the Lake of Fire forever (Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8, 27). ALL liars, thieves, and fornicators/adulterers, murderers and idolaters at heart and in deed will get their just reward at the Day of Judgment.

BUT God, “who is rich in mercy” does not want you to perish. He became a human being in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God. He, the Savior, died on the cross taking your sin, guilt and punishment on Himself. You and I broke the moral Law of God, but He became a human being without sin to pay our fine, the Sinless One for us guilty sinners. Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. That means God (the Judge) can now freely dismiss your case and cancel your death sentence. Does it make sense? Of course it does. What must you do now?

(1)You must repent (turn from sin) and leave your sinful lifestyle. Change your thinking about yourself – you are a guilty and lost sinner.

(2)Confess your sins to God who knows all secrets. Turn from praying to another god or other gods.

(3)Place your trust in the Lord Jesus alone (just like you would put your trust in a parachute to save you from a death drop). You let go of your own good works as a means or trying to please God (trying to bribe Him), and trust in Jesus alone what He has done for you on the cross and in His resurrection. Simply throw yourself on the mercy of the Judge.

Do this today because you don’t know when you will die. Pray something like this: “Righteous and merciful God, I admit that I’m a lost sinner. I disobeyed your Law. I’m willing to turn from sin (name them). I accept and believe the Lord Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and the only Savior from sin. Wash me in His blood from my sin, guilt and condemnation. Give me the gift of eternal life. I will follow Him and obey His Word. In Jesus name. Amen.”

He promises: to forgive your sin, declare you not guilty anymore, set you free from the power of sin, grant you the gift of eternal life, give you the new birth and enable you to be a witness for Him and the truth of His Word.

“You will find Him when you seek Him with your whole heart” Jeremiah 29:13.

cnview.com/on_line_resources/billy_graham_catholic_connection.htm. This is just one of many examinations on the Internet of Graham's endorsement of Catholicism. There are also video interviews of him endorsing the Catholic faith.

2) Graham takes this position because he says "Catholics believe in Jesus." But, again, do they simply believe he existed (as do Muslims), or do they believe in the sense of trusting Him, and Him alone, for their salvation? If their trust is truly in Jesus, then why are they instructed to pray to Mary? A great source for unbiblical Roman Catholic beliefs is pro-gospel.org/x2
